Hello, Word Artists and Admirers! This weekend we had a special little visitor at the Driks household. Darling Youngest had a special project for one of their classes involving an electronic baby that they need to care for (it cries and burps—yes, in the middle of the night too).
I completely expected the mixture of overwhelm and nervousness in Darling Youngest, but the presence of Robo-Winter (that’s what I’m calling the ‘baby’ since Darling Youngest has already decided to name their first-born Winter) also brought out the heightened awareness of another member of our household, Kit.
Robo-Winter is only staying with us for a few days, so Darling Youngest and Kit will have a break then. Hopefully your days (and nights) have been a little calmer and more peaceful. And hopefully you’ll share a bit of your word artistry with us. But before that, let’s take a sneak peak at the week ahead. This upcoming Wednesday, Rosemary invites us to write about ‘walking away’.
So now it’s time for you to share your word-riffic wonders. I’m taking words both old and new, poetry or prose, fiction or non-fiction. But if you opt for prose, please keep it to 369 words or fewer. Thanks, and have fun!
