Writers' Pantry #7: Strolling through February Streets

"The magic of the street is the mingling of the errand and the epiphany."― Rebecca Solnit, Wanderlust: A History of Walking.

Greetings everyone! Hope you all are well! This is Sanaa and I am back with another exciting Writers' Pantry this Sunday.

Under the dove grey sky, I have witnessed and felt many a frenzied heart thump during the month of transition. Traffic jam thoughts, coffee with no cream, looking around as faces blend into one another, just like their stories do and I think to myself what are they going through? It feels like this everyday as the sunset holds its breath.

Announcements and Reminders:

The topic for next Weekly Scribblings is "Tribute," where Rommy invites us to "make our word offering a straightforward tribute to a person, place, or thing we admire, or simply incorporate the idea of tribute in any way we see fit."

Rosemary delighted us with her "Wild Fridays: Poems from Our Community," which featured love poems in the spirit of Valentine's Day. Do scroll back and check it out in case you have missed it!

For now, I invite you to share your entry as Poets and Storytellers United welcomes both poetry and prose (i.e. stories, essays, articles) feel free to link anything old or new and relish in the work of others. Also, if you opt to share prose then please keep it to 369 words or fewer.

And now, without further ado, let us dive into the Pantry! Looking forward to grabbing a cup of hot chocolate and reading you all! See you on the trail!💝

  2. Happy Sunday to you all and thanks Sanaa for hosting.
I have not long risen from my bed and my mind is still a little numb, so I shall return in an hour or so and read and comment on others.

  3. Thanks for hosting, Sanaa. Very modest of you to refrain from mentioning that some of the love poems I featured for Valentine’s Day were your own!

Dear people, if you missed them, well worth reading (and Sanaa’s not there on her own; there are some by another well-known and much-loved member of our community).

    1. @Redcat; You have linked the Sunday Muse to the Writers' Pantry (which I am assuming is by mistake) so I have removed the link. Feel free to share a poem or prose. 💝🍹

  7. Happy Sunday to all. I'm going to continue with the humor/positive writing for as long as I can, because I'm needing as much as anyone right now.
Another positive is we have about 3 weeks for the bluebirds and redwing blackbirds return to the area.
Looking forward to reading from the community a bit later today. Cheers

  8. It's a crisp, cold sunny Sunday in my world. Good to see the sunshine! Somehow it seemed reading my way through the pantry was a sort of dystopian journey this morning. I'm thinking there needs to be a site called "And Now for the Good News …"
