Weekly Scribblings #65: Bird is the Word

Hello, Word Artists and Admirers! This week's prompt is for the birds. You can shape your words around a particular type of bird or birds, or just birds in general. I'll take any poetry and prose, fiction and non-fiction. I'll also take reworked older pieces that have been significantly re-written. But just one piece per person please and do keep your prose pieces to 369 words or fewer. Thanks!

  1. Thanks so much for this, Rommy. I was getting bogged down with the April Poem-A-Day pieces I've been doing – as tends to happen to me every April around mid-month – and was totally uninspired by the April 12th prompt, until I remembered your Birds topic. So glad Magaly gave us advance notice! Somehow, that suddenly made my ideas (and hopefully the poem) dance instead of feeling slow and weighty.

  3. The topic of birds happened to fit a piece of digital art I'd just finished, so I used it to inspire a short poem. Thanks for the challenge!
