Friday Writings #213: Pick a Pair

 

Hello, Word Artists and Admirers! It's been a crazy couple of weeks for me. I had a business trip that was extended a few more days because of the storms hitting the Northeast and the Midwest. While I did find ways to relax on those days, I definitely had to play catch up at work when I got back (deadlines do not care about snowstorms).

Thinking about how little time it took for relaxed to become crazy busy made me think of opposite pairs. So for today's optional prompt I'd like you to take a look at this trio of pairs:

1. flesh/spirit, 

2. spring/winter

3. love/indifference

Pick one (or more) of these pairs to inspire your writings. I'm accepting poetry and prose, fiction and non-fiction. Just be sure to keep your entries to 369 or fewer words, and one piece per person, please.

Next week, we shall ask you to write a love poem, or a love story, or at least one about love.
