I finally got around to getting the family’s summer clothes away to pull out our winter things. There’s a feeling of delight I get when I start taking my comfy clothes out of the attic and put them into my closet, especially when I think of how cozy I’ll feel wearing a favorite sweater or super warm pair of leggings. What’s your favorite winter thing to wear?
In honor of my chunky sweaters, this week’s optional prompt
is cozy. Use the word in whichever way feels right in a piece of poetry or
prose. Or share an older piece instead. Just please be sure to keep your pieces
to 369 words or fewer, and one entry per person please.
Next week, to close us out for 2022, Rosemary will invite us
to use repetition in our writing.
I have tried to comment twice on Rosemary's poem
ReplyDeleteRosemary you have captured winter coziness beautifully in your poem but you forgot to mention the woolly socks ! :)
Ha ha, you're quite right about the socks! Others have commented successfully on my post so I don't know what the problem can be.
DeleteAh, I see the problem. Both your comments were awaiting moderation, so I have now approved the first one. I do have a note that comments are moderated, both at the top of my blog and also on the comment form; I don't know what else I can do to alert people to the fact – except maybe yell in all capitals. You are not the only one to sometimes miss the memo, so perhaps I'll do that!
DeleteOK, I've tweaked my blog so people's eyes SHOULD be drawn upwards to see the note at the top – but if anyone's using a phone rather than computer or tablet, that probably doesn't help. :(
DeleteWarm socks are one of the joys of winter IMHO
DeleteHi Everyone! I decided to play along with this cozy prompt on a cold Friday night.
ReplyDeleteI hope it warmed you up!
DeleteIt was quite chilly here in PA
DeleteHere’s a cozy little Christmas Mix.
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteSounds lovely
DeleteGood day, Poets & Storytellers!
ReplyDeleteI like the prompt 'Cozy' but couldn't come out with a poem in time. I am posting something really really old today. Blame it on the World Cup. 😁
An oldie but a goodie! (And I for one am very sympathetic to your excuse, lol.)
