Greetings,
dear poets and storytellers. I hope you are doing well, perhaps writing and reading what you enjoy. I haven’t been writing as much as I like, but I
have been reading lots. Two weeks ago, I was given a copy of Dracula in Love, by Karen Essex, a retelling of the Dracula story from the
point of view of Mina. I’ve find the novel interesting, and thought the
concept would make a fun prompt.
So, for
today’s optional prompt, I invite you and your muse to write one piece of
poetry or prose from two different points of view. Please post both pieces.
The
complete entry should be 369 words or fewer.
If the prompt doesn’t motivate you or your muse, share a piece of your choosing. Your contribution can be new or old, short or longish, fiction or nonfiction… Share the direct link to your post. One link per participant, please. Take a moment (or 3) to enjoy the words of other poets and storytellers.
next week, Rommy will invite you to write about a hobby that brings you peace.
I finished reading yesterday Norton Juster's -The Phantom Tollbooth .
ReplyDeleteIt is a children's fantasy adventure novel.
Have a good Friday everyone
Much💛love
Thanks for sharing, Gillena. I've never read The Phantom Tollbooth. I shall add it to my list!
DeleteI have enjoyed a few novels told from the "other" side. Grendel and The Penelopiad for two.
ReplyDeleteI truly enjoyed The Penelopiad. If you haven't read it, you like Circe, by Madeline Miller. I've yet to read Grendel, I suspect that it's very sad...
DeleteRepublishing an old one, though that one has three points of view.
ReplyDeleteCoolest. Off to delight in it...
DeleteGood day, Poets & Storytellers!
ReplyDeleteNo poetry today, only a cartoon. If it broke the rules, remove the link.
Pretty tired volunteering with the Red Cross today. Gotta catch some sleep before I read. 😀
Cartoons are to graphic novels what flash fictions are to novels. So this totally follows the rules. Also, I'm ridiculously jealous by the fact you can draw--I've always wished I could write and illustrate a graphic novel.
DeleteGood afternoon. I enjoyed writing to your prompt.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad, JadeLi.
