Still, I think that in the case of "toxic love/toxic relationship" it applies nicely--the more one gets, the worse it gets; the longer one is exposed, the deepest the damage... and so on.Magaly Guerrerohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18295455026184103230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7191396899650989619.post-70167666798134016772022-09-12T12:02:16.190-04:002022-09-12T12:02:16.190-04:00Royally cool. ;-)Royally cool. ;-)Magaly Guerrerohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18295455026184103230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7191396899650989619.post-83106788698974085872022-09-12T12:01:50.781-04:002022-09-12T12:01:50.781-04:00😊😊Magaly Guerrerohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18295455026184103230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7191396899650989619.post-12857680101798065122022-09-11T11:07:37.234-04:002022-09-11T11:07:37.234-04:00I don't like the term "toxic love" e...I don't like the term "toxic love" either, albeit for different reasons. I'm not a toxicologist by training, but I've worked with them in my professional work. My layman's understanding of toxicology is that toxicity is based on the substance, dosage, route of exposure, duration of exposure, etc. I'm certainly not a science expert, but as a science major, the oversimplification of scientific concepts into everyday lingo annoys me generally.

That said, I picked toxic love to write about, albeit in a different context.Jewish Young Professional "JYP"https://jewishyoungprofessional.wordpress.com/about-2/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7191396899650989619.post-13794194042221677772022-09-11T03:23:39.787-04:002022-09-11T03:23:39.787-04:00Hello Magaly, toxic love seems to be everywhere, m...Hello Magaly, toxic love seems to be everywhere, makes me feel helpless — so I thought I’d take us to play with some kings and queens… 🙂✌🏼❤️robkistnerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08166835029205143266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7191396899650989619.post-15585060689204495522022-09-10T15:15:47.145-04:002022-09-10T15:15:47.145-04:00That's good to know, thanks Magaly :-)That's good to know, thanks Magaly :-)Sunra Rainzhttps://sunrarainz.wordpress.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7191396899650989619.post-82672266287932874542022-09-10T12:46:37.356-04:002022-09-10T12:46:37.356-04:00Love is love is love... and welcomed. 😊Love is love is love... and welcomed. 😊Magaly Guerrerohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18295455026184103230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7191396899650989619.post-30970356860840052782022-09-10T12:28:35.154-04:002022-09-10T12:28:35.154-04:00Good day, Poets & Storytellers!

I'm sure they are convinced they are doing right by their child, while making their world (and often their brains) small. Like you suggest, smothering mothers are an example of that.
Magaly Guerrerohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18295455026184103230noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7191396899650989619.post-2750603775123244332022-09-09T00:30:05.895-04:002022-09-09T00:30:05.895-04:00You raise an interesting question. I was thinking that in my personal experience 'love' and 'toxic' don't go together, e.g. there was no love lost between my Wicked Stepmother and me. But then I think how over-protective my real mother was when I was little, a 'smother-mother', and I suppose that could be classed as toxic until we both grew out of it.
But I'm not writing to the prompt today; I'm continuing with the prison memoir. All kinds of toxic there, but in a different context.Rosemary Nissen-Wadehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05913841031559499568noreply@blogger.com
